with Kirt Manion When 2022 Nebraska City grad Braden Thompson revealed his intention to play college football for Southeast Missouri State, I paused. I didn't know where that school was located. When I found out the location of the place, Cape Girardeau, Mo., the only connection that came to mind was the late Rush Limbaugh, a famed conservative radio show host. Limbaugh was born in Cape Girardeau. Appropriately enough, Rush was a Husker fan. Yes, a Husker connection for Cape Girardeau. And there is now a Husker connection for Southeast Missouri State.
