CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - Recent rains have the Mississippi River rising.The river in Cape Girardeau topped 10 feet on Thursday, November 10, that marks the first time the river in Cape Girardeau has been above 10 feet since late September.Current predictions have the river in Cape Girardeau cresting above 11 feet on Friday.A look at low water at the confluence of the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers, at the tip of southern Illinois, on Thursday, November 10.Despite the growing levels on the Mississippi River thanks to rain, a panel of advisors in Missouri is growing more concerned about the impact the drought is having on commercial navigation.
